Biofilm is a continuous community of bacteria that develops on the surface of teeth, gums, dentures and covers teeth, gums, dentures, including implants. This biofilm may not be visible to the naked eye and may nevertheless cause inflammation. Biofilm is not only found on the teeth, but also on the teeth. the digestive system as a whole.

Dental biofilm is a nearly colorless sticky bacterial film which adheres to the surface of the tooth. Rinsing with water doesn't erase it. Many people develop gingivitis by the accumulation of dental biofilm or plaque around the gum margin.

As already described, a biofilm's bacteria can cause severe problems. This biofilm, which can be rendered visible as a white or yellowish substance, can grow on teeth and gums long enough. It is already too late at that point that the germs start their destructive activities.

Some bacteria release acids that destroy the protective layer of the teeth, which contribute to cavities. Others cause gum inflammation, i. e. gingivitis, which may cause parodontitis to become more severe.

The 12 major indication areas of Guided Biofilm Therapy can be identified as follows:

1. Maintaining healthy teeth requires regular, healthy treatment. Biofilm therapy can help maintain dental health by replacing hand-held dental instruments with minimal invasive comfort.

2. Tooth decay prevention - Biofilm is not always visible to the naked eye, but can be easily detected using plaque staining and completely removes any biofilm deposits using an EMS device, to help prevent tooth decay

3. Early detection of dental caries - Dental caries frequently grow on the surface of teeth and gums that are difficult to reach with general dental care (toothbrush). The fine-grain airflow powder used by the EMS device also makes these areas easier to clean, enabling a more thorough and precise examination of the teeth and gums during the final test.

4. Treatment of Orthodontic Diseases - Orthodontic devices are more likely to develop biofilm coatings, stains and discolorations that can also be effectively treated with Airflow Powder.

5. Gum Arthritis Treatment - Removal of biofilm, including Gum Arthritis Treatment, provides maximum comfort and minimal sensitivity to standard procedure using heated aqueous airflow powder.

6. Long-term preservation of esthetic restorations (crowns, bridges, braces, implants, porcelain veneers): in the case of esthetic restorations, special attention needs to be paid to the teeth, as the biofilm layer formed that lead to gingivitis, gingival recession, which endangers the teeth and dentures. The EMS is also well equipped for denture patients.

7. Healthy Soft Tissue Preservation - Since the EMS device used in guided biofilm therapy uses a small amount of airflow powder, it has been shown to be more gentle on previous biofilm removals, protecting soft tissue and gingiva, gum.

8. Gingivitis Care (Gingivitis) - Gingivitis is often associated with pain persistent gum retraction can also lead to dental loss. Airflow Plus powder can help you deal with this, and we can strip unripe biofilm safely.

9. Periodontitis treatment - EMS and guided biofilm therapy are common in periodontics since Airflow PRO powder can easily and gently remove biofilm accumulated under the gum.

10. Implant Preservation - After implantation, special cleaning is required to maintain a long life of the implant-up to 20-40 years. Airflow powder gently handles and cleans implants without damaging their surface, while metal devices may have this problem.

11. Treatment of Peri-Implantitis - Inflammation of the gums around the implant (peri-implantitis) can be effectively treated with minimal bleeding with PERIOFLOW PLUS powder.

12. Treatment of mucositis - Airflow powder will treat the surface around the implant safely and gently. This is why we find this to be the state-of - the-art in the area of maintenance of implants.
